John shared with us of a course named: A Course in Miracles (ACIM).
The introduction of the course goes like...
"This is a course in miracles. It is a required course. Only the time you take it is voluntary. Free will does not mean that you can establish the curriculum. It means only that you can elect what you want to take at a given time. The course does not aim at teaching the meaning of love, for that is beyond what can be taught. It does aim, however, at removing the blocks to the awareness of love's presence, which is your natural inheritance. The opposite of love is fear, but what is all encompassing can have no opposite.
This course can therefore be summed up very simply in this way:
Nothing real can be threatened.
Nothing unreal exists.
Herein lies the peace of God."

Below is a quote from another part of the course:
If perfect love casts out fear,
And if fear exists,
Then there is NOT perfect love.
But
Only perfect love really exists.
Therefore, if there is fear, it creates a state which does not exist.
Believe THIS and you WILL be free. Only God can establish this solution, for THIS faith IS His gift.
John also shared following resources to us.
A searchable version of the Urtext, which is the closest version of the Course to the original transcribed text Helen Schulman received from Jesus:

A Course In Miracles International is the Spiritual organization where he belongs to and he lived with for approximately 7 years.  It contains links to audios and videos of Master Teacher who is one of my teachers:

Meeting 1 of 2016, Week 1, 11-17/Jan/2016 (Read Surah 2 Verse 1-50)

In Week 1 of 2016, we have read Surah 2 Verse 1-50 and discussed on 15 Jan 2016 at 5-7pm.  Some main points have been shared.  Some questions are mentioned in these verses, such as “what are the characteristics of disbelievers”; "why some people/government did bad things on the earth in the name of good words (e.g., democracy; making peace; justice)"; "why some people believe as the fools have believed? "; "why the Israel people was chosen by the God?"; etc.

A USA brother (John) joined our meeting at the fist time.  He made an interesting comment: "Faith could not be discussed; only be experienced." Do you agree?  He also recommended a book titled <<A course in miracles>>.

Chapter 1: opening Chapter
1-     Allah Characteristics are:
·       He is the Most Gracious,
·       He is the Most Merciful
·       Master of the Day of Judgment.
·       Allah,  we worship and we ask for help
·       Allah Guides us to the straight path
Chapter 2: (1-74) Cow Chapter
There is no doubt in The Holy Quran, a guidance for those conscious of Allah
Those conscious of Allah and upon guidance from Him : - believe in the unseen - establish prayer - spend our money for poor people - believe in what has been revealed to prophet Muhammad and was revealed before prophet Muhammad-  believe in the Hereafter.
Allah has set a seal upon disbelievers and their hearts and upon their hearing, and over their vision is a veil. So, it is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them - they will not believe.
Disbeliever’s characteristics.
Adam and the story of how Allah created earth, from verse 29-39.
Story of Bani Israel and Moussa (prophet), and the cow story from verse 40-74.
·          If you say to them: "Make not mischief on the earth, "they say: "We are only peacemaker. Verily! They are the ones who make mischief, but they perceive not.
·         If you say for them "Believe as the people (followers of Muhammad Peace be
upon him) have believed," they say: "Shall we believe as the fools have believed?"
·     When they are alone, They are mocking for the  believers,  so Allah gives them increase in their wrong-doings
·     These are they who have purchased error for guidance, so their commerce was profitless
·       They are deaf, dumb, and blind, so they return not (to the Right Path).
Worship your Lord  (Allah),  because :
·       He created you and those who were before you
·       He has made the earth a resting  place for you
·       He has made the sky as a canopy
·       He sent down water (rain) from the sky
·       He brought forth therewith fruits as a provision for you.
If you (Arab pagans, Jews, and Christian) are in doubt concerning The Quran, so then produce a Surah (chapter) of the like thereof if you are truthful. If you do it not, and you can never do it, then fear the Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.
Allah will give glad tidings to those who believe and do righteous good deeds, Paradise.

8/Jan/2016 Meeting: Let's read Quran together with a good habit in 2016

1/8/2016 Let's read Quran together with a good habit in 2016

John, Mahmoud, Abdu and Sam attended the meeting at 5pm-6:40pm on 1/8/2016
  • Watch a video <<Don’t let dust grow on Quran>>.
  • Discuss the verses; 25:10: “Blessed is He who, if that were His will, could give thee better (things) than those,- Gardens beneath which rivers flow; and He could give thee palaces (secure to dwell in)”; 25:30. "O my Lord! Truly my people took this Qur'an for just foolish nonsense."
  • In reading Quran, we should 1) summarise main point; 2) ask questions; 3) discover sth new; 4) get different meanings; 5) find the out-of-date parts; 6) have our thinking.
  • Three good things taught by Mahmoud: 1) contribution of knowledge; 2) charities; 3) family education for the next generation (good son/daughter).
  • Let’s cultivate a good habit in 2016: 1) Determine the verses (50-100) to be read in the next week: set the benchmark data; 2) Try to find the helpful sources for the discussion: set the benchmark results; 3) Compare our reading results to the benchmark results; 4) Make the habit to be sustainable in 2016; 5) Have a vision to achieve reading the whole Quran in one year.
